Jay Maryland was born in Washington, DC and raised between Maryland and Arizona. She has been modeling ever since she was a little girl. She started off entering beauty pageants when she was younger and that is what got her started in the modeling business. It wasn?t until her freshman year in college which is when she really started pursuing her modeling career outside the beauty pageant world. She once had a photo shoot with a local designer in Arizona who ended up using her pictures in her advertisement in VOGUE Knitting magazine. Once she saw her pictures in the magazine she knew she was destined to be a model. In August of 2006 Jay had the photo shoot that changed her career and it also got her noticed by many photographers on the east coast. From that point on she started to build her portfolio until she knew she had great pictures to submit to magazines.
2007 was Jay's year to shine and accomplish her dreams of being in more magazines and being featured in music videos. Jay Maryland will soon be a name that you hear very often!
